Klosr (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the service at klosr.chat. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. We keep this straightforward — no legal fog.
1. What we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Password (hashed — we never store plaintext)
- Billing information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store card numbers)
Instagram connection
When you connect your Instagram account, we receive:
- Your Instagram username and account ID
- An access token that allows Klosr to read and respond to DMs on your behalf
We access your Instagram account through Meta's official APIs. We only request the permissions necessary to operate the service (reading and sending DMs).
Playbook content
You provide business information to configure your DM closer — your offer details, qualifying criteria, objection responses, calendar link, and conversation tone. This content is yours. We use it only to run Klosr on your behalf.
Conversation data
When Klosr handles a DM conversation, we process:
- Messages sent by the prospect to your Instagram account
- Messages sent by Klosr on your behalf
- Timestamps and conversation metadata
Usage data
We collect standard usage data to maintain and improve the service:
- Pages visited, features used, actions taken within the dashboard
- Device type, browser, IP address
- Error logs and performance data
2. How we use your data

3. What we do NOT do with your data
- We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
- We do not use your conversation data to train models or improve services for other customers.
- We do not share prospect information with anyone other than you.
- We do not send marketing emails to your prospects.
- We do not access your Instagram account for any purpose other than operating Klosr as you configured it.
4. Third-party services
Klosr uses the following third-party services to operate:

Each third-party service is subject to its own privacy policy. We select providers that meet reasonable security standards.
5. Data retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure upon request.
- Conversation data: Retained for up to 90 days after the conversation ends, then automatically deleted. You can request earlier deletion.
- Playbook content: Deleted when you remove it or close your account.
- Billing records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
6. Data security
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.
- Instagram access tokens are stored encrypted.
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.
No system is 100% secure. If we discover a breach that affects your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access— Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction— Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion— Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Export— Request your data in a portable format.
- Disconnect— Revoke Klosr's access to your Instagram account at any time through your Instagram settings.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@klosr.chat. We respond within 14 days.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
9. International data transfers
Klosr operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. By using the service, you consent to this transfer. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place regardless of where data is processed.
10. Children's privacy
Klosr is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
